I am deeply honored to have been elected as the JCI Kootenay Chapter President for 2022. This year marks my “one year to lead,” a unique opportunity to guide and inspire our chapter members. My primary focus is to support our members in their personal and professional growth, helping them achieve their goals and reach their fullest potential.
This year is especially exciting as we are hosting the JCI Canada National Convention — the first in-person gathering in two years. As part of the organizing team, I’m actively engaged in securing grant funding, fostering community partnerships, and managing all aspects of the event. It’s an incredible responsibility, and I am thrilled to be part of such a monumental event for our chapter.
In my role as Chapter President, I am eager to learn how to become a more effective leader, drive meaningful change in our community, and create memorable in-person experiences. In addition to the National Convention, I am also planning the second annual JCI Summer Camp at Blue Lake. After the tremendous success of last year’s event, I’m thrilled to once again facilitate this weekend of leadership development and team-building, where members from surrounding regions will come together to participate in high and low ropes challenge courses, all while fostering a sense of community and collaboration.
