Career Overview

With over two decades of progressive experience in recreation, community development, and leadership, I’ve dedicated my career to creating inclusive, high-impact programs that strengthen communities and inspire participation across all ages.

My journey began in 1999 through youth leadership and volunteerism with the YMCA/YWCA, sparking a lifelong commitment to recreation and community engagement. From managing aquatic and childcare programs to leading resort recreation teams in BC’s mountain destinations, I’ve built a diverse foundation in operations, safety, and guest experience.

My background spans every dimension of recreation management, from aquatics and resort operations to outdoor education, safety, and program development. I’ve overseen large-scale aquatic and leisure operations across BC, including Fairmont Hot Springs Resort, Sunchaser Vacation Villas, and Panorama Mountain Village—where I led teams in lifeguarding, pool maintenance, events, and food and beverage service while developing and enforcing comprehensive health and safety programs.

Since 2016, I’ve led the transformation of Columbia Outdoor School (Blue Lake Camp) from a local outdoor education site into a regional leader in experiential learning and community programming. As Director of Programming and General Manager, I oversee strategic planning, funding acquisition, HR, education partnerships, and cultural collaboration—doubling our reach and impact.
